I never had a bodyguard but if I do I think it won’t be that fun at all. Somehow having a bodyguard gives me the insight that that person is somewhat special or rich above all. Also, I feel like when a person has a bodyguard, his/her life is in danger or something like that. We know that our lives is the most precious thing in this world and that’s why our lives being taken care of others means that your live has so much sense at all.
My thoughts about having bodyguards somehow reflect to the story of Seirei no Moribito. The bond between Balsa and Chagum gave me so much chills and thrills. This original novel of Nahoko Uehashi is so awesome. I never really thought that a novel would have a chance and be adapted into an anime. Maybe it is because of the plot that made so much impact into the anime screens. It has been 18 years since the first publication of the novel yet I haven’t found one being sold online. I want to grab a copy though.
Seirei no Moribito should have more anime adaptation since the story in the original novel hasn’t been tackled so much in the adaptation. It makes me sad that it only had 1 whole chance to prove itself in the anime platform. The novel still has tons of material if ever a second season would be animated.
